Excel to PDF

Convert Excel, ODS or CSV sheets to a clean PDF with selectable text — column widths, cell colours and bold kept, fit to page width or one page, header row repeated.

About Excel to PDF

This free Excel to PDF converter turns XLSX, XLS, ODS and CSV spreadsheets into a tidy PDF with selectable text. Cells are printed as Excel displays them, including dates, percentages and rupee amounts with Indian digit grouping. Column widths come from the file, cell fill colours are kept and bold text is read from .xlsx files; hidden rows and columns are left out.

Fit all columns to the page width, fit the whole sheet on one page, or keep the actual size. You can repeat the header row, show gridlines and add page numbers. Charts and pictures are not included. Your spreadsheet is converted in the browser and never uploaded.

How to use Excel to PDF

  1. Drop a workbook (.xlsx, .xls, .ods or .csv) or try the sample GST register.
  2. Tick the sheets to include.
  3. Choose page size, orientation, fit to width, gridlines, header repeat and page numbers.
  4. Check the preview pages and download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and converted entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for confidential documents such as bank statements and contracts.

Are formulas and number formats kept?

Each cell is printed as Excel displays it — formula results with their number format (dates, ₹ amounts, percentages). Merged cells are kept and rupee amounts are printed with Indian digit grouping (1,25,000). Charts, pictures and conditional colours are not included.

My sheet is very wide. What should I do?

Keep Scaling: Fit all columns to page width and choose Landscape (or Auto). For a one-page summary choose Fit whole sheet on one page. If the text becomes too small, choose Actual size: wide sheets then continue on more pages, repeating the first column.

Are column widths, colours and bold text kept?

Yes. Column widths come from the file, cell fill colours are kept, and bold, italic and coloured text are read from .xlsx files. Hidden rows and columns are left out, like Excel’s own print-out. Borders, conditional formatting and charts are not copied.

Does ₹ and Hindi text work?

The ₹ symbol and other Unicode symbols are supported with an embedded Noto Sans font. Hindi and other Indian scripts need text shaping that this PDF engine does not do — for those, use Excel’s own Save as PDF.

How do I convert an Excel sheet to PDF on one page?

Choose Scaling: Fit whole sheet on one page. The text size is reduced until the sheet fits, down to 3 pt; very long sheets continue on more pages.

Can I convert only one sheet of a workbook?

Yes. Tick only the sheets you want before converting; the others are left out of the PDF.
