Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and processed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript libraries. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for confidential documents.
Can I merge only some pages of a file?
Yes. Type a range such as 1-3, 7 in the box next to that file. Leave it empty to include every page. Ranges like 5- mean page 5 to the end.
Is there a limit on the number of files?
There is no fixed limit. Very large files use more memory, so on phones it is best to keep the total under about 100 MB.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool (you need the password), then use the unlocked copy.
How do I combine PDF files into one?
Add the PDFs, arrange them by dragging or with the arrow buttons, and click Merge PDFs. A single combined PDF downloads straight away.
Can I merge a PDF with a JPG or other image?
Convert the image to PDF first with the Image to PDF tool, then add that file here along with your other PDFs and merge them.
Does merging reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied without re-compression, so text, scans and images look exactly as they did in the original files.
