How do I type page ranges?
Separate items with commas. 1-3 is pages 1 to 3, 5 is a single page and 8- means page 8 to the end. In “By ranges” mode each item becomes its own file.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool (you need the password), then use the unlocked copy.
