Should I charge GST on a recharge?

The operator charges GST inside the recharge price, so the recharge value itself is shown without extra GST. If you are GST registered and take a separate service charge, GST applies to that charge — include it in the service charge.

What should the receipt show?

The number or customer ID, operator, plan and validity, the amount, the transaction or reference ID from your recharge portal and its status, so the customer can follow up if the pack does not activate.

Which printers does it work with?

Any 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer that prints from the browser, or a normal printer with the A5 option.

Can I make a bill for any purchase?

Issue these documents only for real transactions that you or your business actually made. Making bills for purchases that did not happen is fraud and a punishable offence.

Is GST added to a recharge?

The operator already includes GST in the recharge price, so the receipt shows the recharge value as paid. Any separate service charge you collect is shown on its own line.
