Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and processed entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for confidential documents.
Can I change the page order while extracting?
Yes. Type the pages in the order you want, for example 7, 2, 3-5, and keep “Use the order typed in the box” switched on. Pages picked by clicking are saved in page order.
What is the difference from Split PDF?
Extract makes one file from the pages you choose (or one file per chosen page). Split PDF cuts the whole document into several parts by ranges or every N pages.
What about password-protected PDFs?
PDFs that open without a password but block editing or printing (an owner password, common on bank statements and government downloads) work directly — the restrictions are lifted in your browser. A PDF that asks for a password to open must be unlocked first with Unlock PDF (you need its password).
How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?
Drop the PDF, click the pages you want or type them in the box, choose one combined PDF or one file per page, and click Extract pages.
Can I save PDF pages as images instead?
This tool saves pages as PDF. To save pages as JPG or PNG images, use the PDF to Image tool.
