Why can’t my JavaScript change the preview?

For safety, JavaScript here runs in a separate sandbox and prints to the console. Download the page as HTML and open it in your browser to run scripts that change the page.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser on a computer or phone. For bigger projects, install the free VS Code editor.
