This text to speech tool reads any text aloud using the voices available on your device. Indian English and Hindi voices are listed first when your device has them, along with any other languages installed. Set the speed and pitch, press Play, and the current word is highlighted as it is read.
It is useful for proofreading your writing by ear, listening to notes or articles while doing something else, helping young readers and supporting people who find long text hard to read. There is no character limit or sign-up, and it is free to use as often as you like. Audio cannot be downloaded as a file.

Frequently asked questions
Why are the voices different on each device?
Voices come from your operating system and browser. Chrome and Edge include online voices such as “Google हिन्दी” and “Microsoft Heera (English, India)”; on phones, install more voices from your system’s text-to-speech settings.
Can I download the audio as MP3?
Browsers do not allow web pages to record the built-in speech engine, so direct download is not possible. You can use your device’s screen or audio recorder while it plays.
Why does word highlighting not work with some voices?
Highlighting relies on word boundary events that some voices (especially online ones) do not send. Speech still works; only the highlight is skipped.
How do I convert text to speech in Hindi?
Paste Hindi text and choose a Hindi voice from the list, then press Play. If none appears, add a Hindi voice in your device’s speech settings.
Is there a limit on how much text I can convert?
No. You can paste long text and use the tool as many times as you like.
Can I change the reading speed?
Yes. Use the speed slider to slow down or speed up the voice, and the pitch slider to change its tone.
