Can I use capture groups?
Yes. With “Use regex” on, refer to groups in the replacement as $1, $2 and so on, or
What does “Whole word” do?
It only matches the search term when it is not part of a longer word — finding “art” will not match “smart” or “artist”.
Is a dollar sign in the replacement treated specially?
Only in regex mode. In plain mode the replacement text is inserted exactly as typed.
How do I find and replace text online?
Paste your text, type the word to find and its replacement, and copy the result. All matches are replaced at once.
Can I replace multiple occurrences at once?
Yes. Every match in the text is replaced, and the count of matches is shown.
How do I replace using a regular expression?
