Scientific Calculator
Full scientific calculator with trigonometry, logs, powers, roots, factorial, memory and history — works with your keyboard.
About Scientific Calculator
This free scientific calculator online gives you the functions of a handheld scientific calculator right in your browser. Use sin, cos and tan in degrees or radians, their inverses, log and ln, powers, square roots, factorial and percentages, with brackets that follow BODMAS.
It suits school and college students, engineering students preparing for exams and anyone who needs a quick sin cos tan online calculator without buying a device. Type straight from your keyboard, reuse any earlier result from the history list and keep a running total with the memory keys. Everything is calculated on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere.
How to use Scientific Calculator
- Tap the buttons or type on your keyboard (digits, + − * / ^ ( ) ! %).
- Pick DEG or RAD before using sin, cos or tan. Press INV for inverse functions.
- Press = or Enter to calculate. Backspace deletes, Esc clears.
- Click any history entry to reuse its result. Use M+ / M− / MR to keep a running total.
Frequently asked questions
How is the % key handled?
The % key divides the number before it by 100, so 50% = 0.5 and 200×15% = 30. For percentage increase or decrease use the Percentage Calculator.
Does it follow BODMAS?
Yes. Brackets first, then powers and roots, then multiplication/division/mod, then addition/subtraction. −2^2 is −4, and powers are evaluated right to left (2^3^2 = 512).
What is the difference between log and ln?
log is the common logarithm (base 10) and ln is the natural logarithm (base e ≈ 2.71828). log₂ is base 2.
Why do I get a different answer for sin(30)?
Check the angle mode. In DEG mode sin(30) = 0.5; in RAD mode 30 is treated as radians, giving −0.988.
How do I use a scientific calculator online?
Tap the on-screen buttons or type numbers and operators on your keyboard, then press = or Enter. Choose DEG or RAD before using trigonometric functions.
How do I find the inverse of sin, cos or tan?
Press INV first, then sin, cos or tan to get sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹ or tan⁻¹. The answer is shown in degrees or radians depending on the mode you picked.
Is this scientific calculator free to use?
Yes. It is completely free, needs no sign-up and works on phones, tablets and computers.
