Lorem Ipsum Generator
Generate placeholder text by paragraphs, sentences or words, as plain text or HTML.
About Lorem Ipsum Generator
This lorem ipsum generator creates dummy text for designs, mock-ups and website templates. Choose paragraphs, sentences or words, set how many you need, and decide whether the text should start with the classic Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. Copy it into Figma, Word, WordPress or your code.
Turn on HTML tags to get the placeholder text wrapped in paragraph tags, ready for web pages. Filler text lets clients and teams focus on layout before the real copy is ready; just remember to replace it before going live. It runs in your browser and is free with no sign-up.
How to use Lorem Ipsum Generator

Frequently asked questions
What is Lorem Ipsum?
Scrambled Latin derived from Cicero's De Finibus (45 BC). Designers use it so readers focus on layout rather than the words.
Should I publish a site with Lorem Ipsum?
No — replace it with real content before launch. Search engines treat it as low-quality text, and visitors find it confusing.
How do I generate a specific number of words of lorem ipsum?
Choose Words, enter the number you need, such as 50 or 200, and copy the result.
What is filler text?
Filler or placeholder text is temporary wording used to show how a layout will look before the final content is written.
