Image Splitter (Grid & Carousel)
Split one image into equal tiles — a seamless Instagram carousel (3×1), a 3×3 profile grid or any rows × columns — and download them as a ZIP.
About Image Splitter (Grid & Carousel)
This image splitter online cuts one picture into equal tiles. Use the 3×1 preset for a seamless Instagram carousel that scrolls like one wide panorama, the 3×3 preset for a big profile grid, or set any number of rows and columns yourself. Grid lines on the preview show exactly where each cut falls.
All tiles download together as a ZIP, numbered in the order you should post them. It is popular with creators, brands and photographers planning an Instagram feed. Your image is split in your browser and never uploaded, and the tool is free with no sign-up or watermark.
How to use Image Splitter (Grid & Carousel)
- Drop an image or try the sample.
- Choose a preset or set rows and columns.
- Check the grid lines on the preview.
- Download all tiles as a ZIP (numbered in posting order).
Frequently asked questions
In what order should I post an Instagram grid?
Instagram shows the newest post first, so upload tiles in reverse: the last tile (bottom-right) first and tile 1 last. Files are numbered left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
Will the tiles be exactly equal?
Yes, up to one pixel: if the size does not divide evenly the remainder is spread across tiles.
How do I split an image for an Instagram carousel?
Choose the carousel preset, check the grid lines, and download the ZIP. Upload the tiles in number order as one carousel post.
How do I make a 3×3 Instagram grid?
Pick the 3×3 grid preset and download the nine tiles. They are numbered in posting order, so upload them one by one in that order and the full picture appears on your profile.
